The Club is a youth swimming club, with approximately 450 swimming members. The Club provides swimming coaching for children aged four years upwards at all levels of competitive ability. As a result, CWSC swimmers range from beginners and recreational swimmers to those who compete at County, Regional, National and International levels. The Club boasts a staff of fully qualified swimming professionals from around the world who are all committed to helping our members reach their full potential as swimmers.

The Club’s origins date back to 1947, and came into its current formation in 2010 as a result of the merger of the Chelsea & Kensington Swimming Club and the Westminster Borough Swim Squad. Since the merger, the Club has experienced increasing success. In 2013 the Club qualified a record 16 swimmers for the British National Youth/Age Group Championships, including its first ever National Champion, and for the fourth straight year had medalists on the platform at Nationals. The Club is also represented on British Swimming’s World Class Podium Potential Team. A total of 37 CWSC swimmers qualified for the London Regionals in 2013, another Club record. Four CWSC swimmers qualified for the London Olympic/Paralympic Trials.

CWSC is affiliated to the Middlesex County ASA. The Club conducts its Rules and Affairs in accordance with the Laws and Technical Rules of the Amateur Swimming Association and is Swim21 accredited.

The CWSC vision is to achieve excellence through participation. The objective is to develop competitive swimmers through the teaching, development and practice of swimming. Each member learns the values of sportsmanship and teamwork in a culture that encourages all members to achieve the highest level of performance that their talent and time commitment allows.
